2. Objects

 

The objects of the company are:

  1. to carry out such business and related activities as will in the opinion of the directors

  2. to pursue food export and import, food production and food selling activities that are both economically and socially responsible;

  3. to contribute to the development of a positive, nurturing, responsible business culture;

  4. to develop the company’s activities on the principles of development and promotion of food and beverage business services that support health, communities and minimize the impact on our surroundings

  5. to organise charitable food related functions and fund raising

  6. to abide to the ethical values of honesty, openness, social responsibility and caring for others

  7. to do all such things that are incidental or conducive to the carrying on of its businesses and related activities

And, as a result of the carrying out of such activities, to:

  1. promote the success of the company for the benefit of its members as a whole;

  2. and enable the company, through its business and operations, to have a material positive impact on society and the environment, taken as a whole.

53. Impact Report

  1. The directors of the company shall, for each financial year of the company, prepare and circulate to its members an impact report which shall contain such detail as is necessary to enable the members to have an understanding of the way in which the company has sought, through its business and operations, to have a material positive impact on society and the environment, taken as a whole. The impact report shall contain a balanced and comprehensive analysis which is set out in a manner proportionate to the size and complexity of the business.

  2. The company may choose to publish the impact report as part of its annual report. In particular, if the company is required to prepare a strategic report under the Companies Act 2006, the company may choose to publish the impact report as part of its strategic report and in accordance with the requirements applying to the strategic report.
